Chet Morrison Contractors hired industry veteran Metin Gezer as Vice President of Land Construction Services. Gezer is one of several recent leadership additions who will provide support and infrastructure to foster the growth of the company’s construction services for both onshore and marine environments.

Gezer brings over 25 years of planning and operations experience in the oil and gas industry, both domestically and internationally, and has a background in midstream, refining, petro-chemicals, pipelines, industrial gases and specialty chemicals. He has previously held management positions with BP, Exxon Mobil and Shell Oil, and most recently ran a private consulting firm for operations management.  Gezer will oversee the operational planning and execution of Chet Morrison Contractors’ growing portfolio of onshore construction projects for oil and gas clients.

Joining Gezer’s management team will be Darrell Ketchum, who will serve as Manager of Planning and Scheduling for the Land Construction division. Ketchum brings over 30 years of technical and managerial experience in engineering, construction, facilities and commissioning projects in both the land and marine sectors.

Derick Bourg, now the Vice President of the Fabrication and Offshore Construction department, has headed the Harvey Fabrication Facility for Chet Morrison Contractors for the last 16 years, most recently adding Offshore Construction to his responsibilities. Bourg successfully managed large fabrication projects for customers such as BHP Billiton, Mobil Exploration, Chevron and Shell Offshore. His focus will be on overseeing and expanding construction initiatives in the offshore environment.

Bourg’s team will include new hire Eric Verzwyvelt, who joins the Construction team as Offshore Construction Manager. With extensive experience in the upstream and downstream industry, Verzwyvelt will draw on his background in estimation and project management to support Chet Morrison Contractors’ growing number of offshore construction projects.
