Hoover Ferguson acquires Uniteam business

Hoover Ferguson Group (Hoover Ferguson), the global leader in container, workspace and packaging solutions for the energy and petrochemical industries and general industrial enterprises, has acquired the rights and obligations of Uniteam Holding AS’s (Uniteam’s) offshore container rental business. The transaction, which includes a specified fleet of standard and customized offshore containers in Norway and Malaysia, increases Hoover Ferguson’s established portfolio within the Norwegian oil and gas market and strengthens the Group’s footprint in Asia.

Seatronics Names Strachan Head of Finance

Seatronics, an Acteon company, and part of its survey, monitoring and data business segment, has appointed Kevin Strachan as head of finance. The new role will require Strachan to lead the finance function in each of Seatronics’ global bases and divisions. Strachan holds a masters degree in accounting from Aberdeen University, and a chartered accountant designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. New Dual HVAC Keeps Offshore Gulf Workers Productive

Ferguson Middle East, a global specialists in the provision of offshore DNV 2.7-1 containers, tanks, reefers, engineering workspace and accommodation modules, has introduced a new dual HVAC system to their engineering workspace modules. The new system has been design engineered to protect offshore workers from the punishing temperatures in the Arabian Gulf. Temperatures can reach upper 40oC or higher during the summer months and high temperatures make for an uncomfortable work environment. Offshore crews need an air-conditioning system that offers a more comfortable and cooler workspace.

Ferguson Group Names Bado Regional Manager

Ferguson Group has appointed Emile Bado as Regional Manager, Middle East and North Africa. The global supplier of DNV 2.7-1/ EN 12079 offshore containers, tanks, baskets, refrigerated/freezer modules, workspace and accommodation modules has expanded its Gulf operations in recent years, opening a Dubai base and facilities in Abu Dhabi, while forming working relationships in the surrounding emirates and countries. Bado will be based in Dubai. He has led engineering companies throughout the Middle East in the last ten years, most recently with a German engine manufacturer.

Ferguson Group Expands Malaysian Operations

The Ferguson Group Singapore, global provider of offshore DNV 2.7-1/EN12079 containers, tanks, baskets, reefers, workspace modules and accommodation solutions, is investing further in its Southeast Asia fleet. Headquartered in Loyang Offshore Supply Base, Ferguson Group Singapore continues its expansion in the region, with an increase in its Malaysian based fleet. The Malaysian fleet is based in two yards, Labuan Supply Base (ASB) and West Malaysia’s Kemaman Supply Base (KSB).

Mair Joins Ferguson Group Executive Team

Aberdeenshire-based Ferguson Group has appointed David Mair to its executive team as group sales and business development director. Mair has more than 20 years’ experience across sales, commercial management, business acquisition and strategic development within the international oil and gas industry, working for E&P companies and major service contractors. Smith Appointed Ferguson Group CEO

Ferguson Group announced the appointment of Richard Smith to lead its executive team. This appointment follows on from the acquisition of Ferguson Group by the global supply-chain logistics company, Brambles Limited, in September 2014. Brambles Acquires Ferguson Group

The Ferguson Group announces that it has been acquired by Brambles Limited for an enterprise value of £320 million. Brambles Limited is a supply-chain logistics company operating in more than 50 countries, primarily through the CHEP and IFCO brands. The group specializes in the pooling of unit-load equipment and associated services, focusing on the outsourced management of pallets, crates and containers. Brambles primarily serves the consumer goods, dry grocery, fresh food, retail and general manufacturing supply chains.

Ferguson Results Show Year of Growth

The Ferguson Group, global specialists in the provision of offshore DNV 2.7-1/EN12079 containers and accommodation solutions, has posted its 2013 results, which show continuing growth, with worldwide sales increasing by over 12% to £65 million and pretax profits up 28% from £16.2 million in 2012 to £20.8 million in 2013. Ferguson Holds Seminar on DNV GL Accreditation

The Ferguson Group, specialists in the rental of DNV 2.7-1 / EN 12079 certified offshore containers, refrigeration/freezer modules, engineering modules and accommodation solutions to the global offshore energy industry, recently held a seminar in Singapore on the benefits of DNV GL accreditation. Offshore Rental Company to Expand

The Ferguson Group, specialists in the rental of containers, accommodation modules and engineering modules to the offshore energy industry around the world, is expanding its international presence in response to customer demand for its products. Over the coming months, a new base will open in Dubai, while the Ferguson Group’s teams in Norway and Australia will move into larger premises in Stavanger and Perth, respectively. Derek Penny joined the Ferguson Group earlier this year as its business development consultant. Major New Barge Operation

The Ferguson Group, a supplier and manufacturer of modules and containers for the energy industry around the world, has launched a new operation to offer accommodation barges in a significant development for the offshore market. Accommodation Vessel Hired for Concordia Salvage Support

Ferguson Group’s accommodation service vessel, 'ASV Pioneer', deployed in the Mediterranean on a six-month contract with salvors Titan-Micoperi. The new contract, with Titan-Micoperi, is for the ASV Pioneer to provide a support role to the salvage operation including provision of accommodation for up to 90 team members, plus deck space for specialist equipment for the salvage operation. $5M Support Vessel Refit Contract

Ferguson Modular, a supplier and manufacturer of offshore accommodation solutions for the energy industry around the world, has awarded a $5m contract for refit and refurbishment work on its new accommodation support vessel. The company, a division of the Ferguson Group, is investing $39.2m in its accommodation support vessel which arrived from South East Asia into Port Glasgow in December 2009, and anticipates the work by Ferguson Shipbuilders Ltd at Port Glasgow being completed by June 2010.
