Carey Joins RPG

Resource Power Group (RPG) has appointed Sean Carey as the engine sales & service company’s General Manager of the MaK and large bore engine business for the southeast US and the Caribbean territories. Carey is a graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy who previously was employed as a Service Sales Manager for Wartsila North America, Inc. “With Sean’s leadership, RPG will quickly become a preferred equipment and services supplier for MaK engines and other large bore diesel and natural gas engines to customers in the US and the Caribbean” said Robert Webb, President of Louisiana CAT, RPG’s parent company.

RPG has appointed Juan Carlos Perez as Operations Manager for it’s Miami operations. Mr. Perez most recently served as the General Manager for Contract & Project Management for Wartsila North America, Inc and Branch Manager for the Seattle and Long Beach offices. He spent 14 years there. Juan Carlos is a graduate of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy “Juan Carlos brings a deep understanding of the commercial and technical aspects of the marine and energy engine business, This is a very exciting appointment for RPG” said Sean Carey.
RPG has appointed Jack A. Smith as Technical Manager for the company’s large bore engine business. Mr. Smith is a graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy and a 28 year veteran of the sea, having served as the Chief Engineer for various Sealand container vessels. More recently he has also managed stationary power plants. “Jack is a highly skilled marine engineer and troubleshooter who has a deep understanding about marine and stationary power plant operations. He brings tremendous experience and maturity to the RPG team” said Sean Carey. 
“We have assembled the requisite leadership at RPG to propel our medium and slow speed engine business forward with a heightened sense of urgency for our customers. This team combines commercial experience, technical experience, and a deep industry knowledge, which will help RPG to support it’s customers in the territory. This is an exciting development,” said Robert Webb.
