Blank Rome LLP Named “Best Law Firm” for Admiralty and Maritime Law

December 10, 2012

U.S. News and World report released the results for 2013 “Best Law Firm,” naming Blank Rome LLP as the top firm for Admiralty and Maritime Law.

“Best Law Firms” rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process that includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process. While one of the largest law firms in America, Blank Rome LLP is a global firm which provides a full range of legal services.

“We are naturally delighted by this recognition,” said the firm’s Chairman, Alan Hoffman. “In addition to having the largest maritime practice in the United States, we feel we provide the highest quality and broadest range of services across the legal platform.”
Clients were asked to provide feedback on firm practice groups, addressing expertise, responsiveness, understanding of a business and its needs, cost-effectiveness, civility, and whether they would refer another client to the firm. Lawyers also voted these traits, as well as whether they would refer a matter to a firm, and whether they consider a firm a worthy competitor.

“Our success in serving the shipping industry includes a unique combination of regulatory, legislative, defense, and commercial advice and assistance”, said shipping practice head Jon Waldron. “We also advise international clients on all aspects of maritime law.”
Blank Rome has offices globally, with its maritime practice concentrated in its Jon Waldron, Partner Blank Rome Washington DC and New York offices.
