Barillec to Present ‘Marine Apps’

Barillec informs it has chosen the Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo to unveil its new identity and to present its “Marine Apps”.  The show will be held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from June 23-25.
 
Barillec develops marine applications based on 60 years of global experience in marine electricity and electronics, including energy conversion and monitoring and controls to manage ship propulsion and power generation.
 
In the past 20 years, the technological evolutions in shipbuilding and the new requirements of ship operators and ship-owners for green ships have led the company to come up with new designs, new systems and services for power generation and storage and for ship propulsion, Barillec said. The company produces energy boosting solutions for electric and hybrid propulsion, energy management, production and storage systems.
 
The France- and Vietnam-based Barillec provides turnkey solutions for energy efficiency, reduction of emissions and fuel savings, as well as full packages ranging from design and engineering to commissioning and sea trials. The company offers a range of services, maintenance and spare parts delivery. More than 200 technicians and engineers provide customer service around the world for new ship construction, refit and repair.
 
Barillec highlights a recent project which saw a 76-meter exploration vessel to be delivered in May 2015. Barillec fitted this vessel with the design of diesel-electric hybrid systems, including a 4MW low voltage power plant, two 1,500 kW azimuth thruster propulsion and a 600kW pump-jet propulsion, a new custom-made hybrid propulsion drive provides hybrid propulsion and shore conversion with multiple ranges of voltage and frequency on shore and 2X150 KW shore power conversion; marine integration of full liquid cooled low harmonic AFE converters; complete monitoring interface and remote access solution. 
 
The project includes a range of Barillec marine applications, including power generation and distribution, electric propulsion, shore power generation, integrated alarm and control monitoring system, complete electrical installation, redundant IP network, easy maintenance and remote service turnkey package and related services.
