Wilhelmsen Ships Service made the new appointment at one of its key strategic locations at Freemantle.

He becomes part of Wilhelmsen Ships Service’s Oceania team and will be responsible for managing the day to day aspects of the company’s services which include the provision of regulatory products and services, Unitor marine products, Nalfleet marine chemicals, maritime logistics and ships agency.

Michael Connolly’s focus for the coming 12 months will be to put a robust plan in place and for him and his strong Freemantle team to meet the company’s commitments to customers and deliver future growth ambitions.

Prior to Joining Wilhelmsen Ships Service  he was Far East representative for a company providing and managing maritime related bulk handling equipment throughout the developing world.

He says ”There are currently more than AU$ 150 billion worth of projects either committed or under construction in this region, and we fully expect Wilhelmen Ships Service to capitalise on the opportunities that this activity will generate.”
