BMT Asia Pacific Names New Director

BMT Asia Pacific (BMT), a subsidiary of BMT Group Ltd, has appointed Dr Sukhy Barhey as Director to lead the implementation of BMT Asia Pacific’s strategy and expand its specialist service offering across the Region.
 
Dr Richard Colwill, Managing Director of BMT Asia Pacific comments: “The Ports, Infrastructure and Built Environment sectors are increasingly faced with complex challenges requiring ever greater specialisation, efficiency and problem-solving capability across their value chains.  Dr Barhey’s appointment reinforces our commitment to assisting investors, developers and operators in meeting these challenges.”
 
An expert in Safety and Risk management with over 25 years’ experience in Transportation & Rail, Marine, Power and Oil & Gas sectors, Dr Barhey has extensive experience in new service development, market expansion and client relationship management.  Prior to joining BMT, Dr Barhey held senior positions at Lloyd’s Register, Parsons Brinkerhoff, DNV and BP, based out of international locations including Aberdeen, London, Hong Kong and Houston.
 
Working closely with Dr Colwill, Dr Barhey will facilitate the growth and development of BMT’s Advisory, Environmental, Risk Management, Rail, Maritime Engineering and Naval Architecture businesses in Singapore and Hong Kong, whilst further facilitating regional delivery across Asia.
 
Dr Colwill adds: “The Hong Kong and Singapore businesses have a series of complimentary skill sets that, working together, offer a complete solution to many maritime, urban, transport and industrial challenges.   As we bring our offices together, we aim to continually enhance the quality and efficiency of our services and I look forward to working with Sukhy to assist our clients across an expanded range of markets and services.”
