SES Acquires TransGulf Tech

September 9, 2009

Seismic Equipment Solutions (SES) announced it has acquired TransGulf Tech, a marine seismic air gun and lead-in termination specialists, which holds certification in high-pressure air systems and possesses extensive experience in back deck design and rigging.

The acquisition expands SES' Marine and Transition Zone capabilities by providing highly specialized technical support solutions for the marine seismic industry.

"We believe acquiring a company like TransGulf, with a proven track record of superior sales, service and support is a smart alliance which will accelerate the development of our new Marine and Transition Zone business," said Paul Mitcham, Senior Vice President, Marine and Reservoir Imaging at SES. "This combination is a natural progression of SES' long term strategy to provide excellent service and rental equipment to both the seismic and hydrographic industries."
