EU naval force: Allegedly hijacked Chinese fishing vessel liberated

A Chinese fishing vessel that was allegedly hijacked last month in Somalia's waters, in the semi-autonomous Puntland region, has been liberated, the European Union's anti-piracy naval force said on Monday.

"According to the information provided (by the Chinese embassy to Somalia), no crew members were injured and the vessel is in transit to safe waters," it said in a statement.
