Kamel Joins Parsons Brinckerhoff

Adel Kamel has been named a Supervising Engineer in the Tampa office of Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global infrastructure strategic consulting, engineering, and program/construction management organization.


In his new position, Mr. Kamel will be responsible for the design, construction, and managing of ports and marine projects throughout the Southeast. He has over 20 years of professional experience, including design of marine and coastal engineering projects.


Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, Mr. Kamel was a Technical Engineer for an engineering consulting  firm, responsible for the design of structural components for marine terminals, piers, wharfs, bulkheads, seawalls, retaining walls, floating structures and marinas, coastal defense structures, breakwaters, and erosion protection.


Mr. Kamel received a B.Sc. in civil engineering from Zakazik University in Cairo, Egypt and a post-graduate certificate in environmental engineering from Ain Shams University in Cairo. He is a licensed professional engineer in Connecticut and British Columbia.
