Cryogas to Build LNG Terminal in February

The construction of a terminal for production and transhipment of LNG on the territory of the Vysotsk port will begin in February 2016, according to the press center of Leningrad Region Government.
Cryogas CJSC is going to commence the construction of LNG terminal at port Vysotsk in February 2016.
The project implementation was discussed on October 26, 2015, at the meeting of Leningrad Region Governor Aleksandr Drozdenko, representatives of project investor Gazprombank and management of Cryogas.
The project, proposed by Cryogas, a Gazprombank company, entails the construction of liquefaction and transhipment facilities with a production capacity of 660,000 tonnes of LNG pear year.
“This project is important for the Leningrad Region. The region will benefit from the terminal through generation of jobs and taxes feeding the budgets. Some 700,000 t of gas will be exported. We appreciate the decision of Gazprombank to support the project and we are ready to assist, particularly through conversion of the land plots into the industrial category,” the Governor said.
The project implementation means generation of 100-120 jobs. The construction is to last 3-4 years (2015-2018). Total investment is estimated at RUR 50 billion.
