Arranging new changes to its brand positioning, the Transas Group informs it will now focus its efforts solely in the maritime market.

The group’s shareholders made the decision to focus the Transas brand on the maritime business only, taking into account the success of Transas and its brand awareness in the maritime IT market and dominating position in several key segments of this market, Transas explained.

The group’s other business segments, including aviation technologies and non-marine simulation, will be rebranded in accordance with the new strategy.

Transas Marine provides equipment, software applications, integrated solutions and services for the maritime industry, claiming over 35 percent of the ECDIS world market share, around 25 percent of VTMS installations and over 45 percent or the maritime simulation market.

Transas offers navigation systems and integrated shipboard solutions, recognized training and simulation solutions, VTMS and coastal surveillance systems, shipping company and port management systems, onboard and individual decision support systems for professional crew and pilots, as well as applications for leisure and the marine mass market.
