Ribcraft, manufacturer of professional grade rigid inflatable boats for law enforcement, safety professionals, and military agencies, announced the delivery of two Ribcraft 6.5's to the James City County Police Department in James City, Va.

The RIBs will be used by the county police for rapid response, patrol, interdiction, boarding, and dive team operations. Given the vast navigable and high traffic waters within the county, the two 21-ft Ribcraft 6.5's will provide enhanced on water coverage for patrols and search and rescue.

The department's two 21.4-ft Ribcraft 6.5 professional grade RIBs, feature Ribcraft's signature deep-v hull, full length lifting strakes, heavy duty multi chambered Hypalon tubes with pressure relief valves and high profile rubstrake will deliver outstanding performance and durability the department required. Powered by a single 150 hp Honda four stroke engine, the boats will reach speeds in excess of 45 knots. Additionally, the open deck configuration provides ample room for SWAT personnel and equipment.
