Jan-Arie Sepers has returned to Radio Holland, where his career began 26 years ago. On October 3 he started as General Manager of Radio Holland Netherlands, after a career at Nokia.
Sepers started at Radio Holland in Rotterdam as a service engineer in 1990 after studying electrical engineering. A year later he was transferred to Sharjah, United Arab Emirates where he worked as Middle East service manager for six years. In 1998, he returned to Rotterdam as service manager. After that, his ambitions took him to another industry and he joined Nokia. In Italy he set up mobile networks and sold services and maintenance contracts to telecom operators. Subsequently, he worked in Athens and then Singapore, where he was Head of Sales for Asia between 2003 and 2006. After that he worked for both Vodafone and Nokia in Düsseldorf.  In 2009 he returned to The Netherlands, when Nokia merged with Siemens. Between 2009 and 2012, Sepers was Head of Sales for the whole of Europe and was part of the team that led the successful restructuring and transformation of Nokia, which ultimately saw it return to healthy profit levels. In 2015 Nokia acquired Alcatel-Lucent and Sepers was again tasked with the integration and reorganization.
“I have always stayed in contact with Radio Holland CEO Paul Smulders since we worked together at Radio Holland in the past and I’m excited to be back after all these years, on the verge of Radio Holland’s 100th anniversary,” Sepers said.
