A newly introduced statistical feature on the Paris MoU website, parismou.org, grants access to the region’s vessel inspection results.
“It is important we communicate about the results of our efforts to prevent sub standard shipping,” said Richard W.J. Schiferli, Secretary General of the Secretariat of Paris MoU. “Is there a better way than showing the facts?”
The new statistical feature shows the results of validated inspections within the Paris MoU region, with the option to present them in a customized way. The data is refreshed at the end of each month.
The first option enables data to be filter by selection criteria such as flag State, year, month, ship type (container, bulk carrier etc.) and ship profile (high risk ships, standard risk ships and low risk ships), while a second option shows the top 20 deficiencies per area of safety, environment and living and working conditions, with criteria including the area itself, ship types, flag States and year.
