DTC Introduces US-based Training

Press Release
Monday, November 12, 2012

On April 7th, 2013, Dredge Technology Corporation will introduce its well-known Simulator Training to the USA.

The training will be presented in collaboration with the Netherlands-based Training Institute for Dredging (TID) and makes use of TID’s own Cutter Suction Dredger (CSD) Simulator.

For a period of three weeks, starting from April 7, 2013, a series of three-day trainings will be available. The program offers a unique opportunity to parties within the US dredge market to follow one of the most successful and appreciated training programs offered by TID. All training courses will be given in Clearwater, Florida.

The CSD Simulator program is aimed at practical applicability and has proven itself to be an excellent method to learn about and improve the overall dredging process. Trainings are led by highly experienced trainers with in-depth knowledge of cutter equipment, its possibilities and limitations, and ways to maximize production. During the training sessions, real-life scenarios are simulated and participants will practice responses to various dredging conditions.

Subject to level of dredging experience, participants may choose one of three types of simulator training:

  • Training for Superintendents (requires no practical experience with operating a cutter suction dredger)
  • Training for Novice Dredge Operators (requires participants to have some operational experience)
  • Training for Experienced Dredge Operators (requires participants to be skilled dredge operators)

To ensure that every participant gets individual attention, each training group will consist of 6 to 9 participants. As space is limited, early registration is recommended! Pre-registration ends on January 31, 2013. For more information, program details and registration, visit www.dredgetraining.com/courses-training/csd-simulator-training-usa
