Dragflow Remote Controlled Dredge for Marina Sveva

Dragflow has recently delivered a remote controlled dredge for the Marina Sveva harbor dredging project in Italy.
Due to the sea currents caused by a dam, too much sedimentation occurred inside the harbor. Also, the seabed was frequently raised, causing navigational problems for the boaters accessing the harbor.
The problem to be tackled was that due to the currents caused by a dam, too much sedimentation has occurred in the harbour.
Dragflow supplied a remote controlled dredge (a DRP18), equipped with a EL 12.5S dredge pump with an output of about 70 mc/h of mixture.
"The beauty of Dragflow remote controlled dredgers is that once the area is identified, the operator can safetely move the dredge from the quay, using a remote radio control, controlling either the dredge's movement and the pump, also in its vertical movement," said Dragflow.
The project target is to keep the sea bed controlled, by transferring the exceeded sand material to a distant of approximately 150m.
