Coast Guard Foundation Hires LaBrec

The Coast Guard Foundation announced it has hired Captain Ron LaBrec USCG (Retired) as a director in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The Coast Guard Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to the education and welfare of all Coast Guard members and their families.
In his new role, LaBrec will work closely with Coast Guard units in the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region to identify and fulfill education, morale and family support for Coast Guard members.
LaBrec brings more than 30 years of Coast Guard service to the position. He most recently served as Assistant Superintendent of the Coast Guard Academy. Other recent posts include Commanding Officer of Coast Guard Recruiting Command, Director of Public Affairs for the Coast Guard, and Chief of Training for the Coast Guard’s Yorktown, Va., training center and the National Search and Rescue School, as well as prior operational assignments at sea and ashore. He is a 1989 graduate of the Coast Guard Academy and holds a master’s degree from Boston University.
