Cargomatic announced that technology executive Sean Whiteley has joined the company as chief operating officer. Whiteley will be charged with overseeing operations, sales and marketing efforts for Cargomatic as it continues its mission to transform local trucking through its mobile technology.
Cargomatic also announced that co-founder Brett Parker will transition to the role of president and chief commercial officer to focus on corporate strategy and enterprise account development.
“Sean’s extensive, hands-on background in technology start-ups will prove invaluable to Cargomatic as we continue our mission to modernize B2B logistics,” said Cargomatic co-founder/CEO Jonathan Kessler.
Previously, Whiteley was involved in the formation and rapid growth of several start-ups. He was COO of TigerText; VP Operations for the incubator Slingshot Labs (a division of News Corporation); CEO/co-founder of RealtyTracker (acquired by Guthy-Renker); and VP Operations of Xdrive Technologies (acquired by AOL).
Whiteley received his BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz and MBA from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
