Bryan Jones Joins HDR Ports & Maritime Team in Boston

Bryan N. Jones has joined HDR in Boston as a senior project manager for the Ports & Maritime group, a growing team of HDR marine specialists in the Northeast to support an increasing number of assignments following Super Storm Sandy. He will also focus on business development with key ports clients and marine terminals to continue expanding HDR’s presence in New England.

Prior to joining HDR, Jones was chief project manager and regional director of the Massachusetts branch office of Ocean and Coastal Consultants. His 21 years of industry experience includes international expertise in coastal engineering and marine structures assessment, design, permitting and construction.

Jones is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and its Coasts, Oceans, Ports & Rivers Institute (COPRI). He chairs COPRI’s Engineer-Diver Qualifications and Standards task subcommittee. He is an Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI)-Certified Commercial Surface Supplied-Air Diver and an American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM)-certified Hydrographer.

Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech, a master’s degree in civil/coastal engineering from Old Dominion University and an MBA from Auburn University. He is a licensed professional engineer in Massachusetts, Virginia, South Carolina, Rhode Island and Pennsylvania.
