New York Floating Venue for NAMEPA Conference

NAMEPA's upcoming 5th Anniversary Conference and Awards Dinner to move aboard the 'Hornblower Infinity'.

Hurricane Sandy created a lot of havoc in New York, but it hasn’t dampened the  North American Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA)’s plans for its 5th Anniversary Conference and Awards Dinner being held on November 14th which will now be held aboard the Hornblower Infinity, docked at Pier 40 (33 West Street). 

A dynamic conference, featuring Philip Shapiro of Liberty Maritime, Gene Seroka of APL Americas, Rob Lorigan of OSG, Rich Pruitt of Royal Caribbean, Commandant Robert Papp of the United States Coast Guard, Edward Hanley of Maersk, VADM Peter Neffenger of the USCG, Clay Maitland, Nicky Pappadakis, George Tsavliris and others will be followed by an Awards Dinner.

At this dinner, the NAMEPA Marine Environment Protection Awards will be presented to Maersk, SUNY Maritime College, NOAA and the American Salvage Association.  In addition, the American Salvage Association and NAMEPA will be introducing winners of its Science Fair contest.
