The Coast Guard has reopened the Mississippi River from mile marker 194 to mile marker 190, Saturday.

The barge has been re-floated and the waterway is open for normal traffic operations.

The river was previously closed from mile marker 194 to 190 when a barge went aground at mile marker 194.

The barge is being taken to a local facility for repairs.
