Seaspan Names Hargreaves VP, Strategy & Business Development

Seaspan Shipyards, Canada’s non-combat shipbuilding partner for the National Shipbuilding Strategy, is pleased to announce the appointment of David Hargreaves as Vice President, Strategy & Business Development.

David brings to Seaspan over 25 years of experience in complex system engineering and a track record of growth-oriented industrial development, building long-lasting customer relationships and establishing strategic partnerships.

Leveraging Seapan’s world class modern infrastructure, capability, and capacity, David will be responsible for growing Seaspan’s domestic and global business for ship building, repair and overhaul in Vancouver and Victoria. David will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to formulate and implement integrated business strategies that will provide highly operational solutions to our customers and long-term, high quality jobs for Canada.

Most recently David was Vice President Strategy at MDA, a Canadian system engineering company that provides systems to the global aerospace and defence industry. David has a Master of Applied Science from Simon Fraser University and a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University.
