ASA Electronics, an international producer of audio and video mobile electronics and appliances has launched the UMSW1000 by Polk Audio. The UMSW1000 is a 10” premium subwoofer delivering 175 watts of power.

An infinite baffle was incorporated into the subwoofer as opposed to an open baffle. The infinite baffle delivers a significantly higher output level and thus, superior sound. The UMSW1000 has 4 ohms of speaker impedance. With this subwoofer, there are a variety of grill color options available, including black, silver and white. Also, an LED light kit is included with any of the color options.

Designed specifically to endure the marine environment, the subwoofer has undergone rigorous testing to ensure that the product can withstand temperature fluctuations, salt, water, humidity and UV exposure. Further steps were taken to ensure the product’s durability as it was designed with a magnet and cone protected by Santoprene surround. The Santoprene surround is a thermoplastic, flexible rubber that lasts significantly longer than regular rubber—especially in hot and cold environments. This surround ensures that the cone is held into place.
