OPDR, as part of the CMA CGM Group, has announced the introduction of its new PENN service. Via Rotterdam, the service connects Continental Europe with the United Kingdom and Norway. Short transit times and highly modern 45ft pallet wide high cube reefers provide best conditions for customers.

In the course of substantially improving its Northern Europe portfolio, the short sea expert OPDR has introduced a new service. The new weekly PENN service links Rotterdam with the United Kingdom and three of the key ports in Norway: Oslo, Moss and Brevik. Rotterdam’s role as a hub port in this new service provides opportunities for regular and reliable shipments between Continental Europe, the Scandinavian Peninsula and the United Kingdom’s east coast. Norwegian ports Oslo, Moss and Brevik are connected with Rotterdam in only two and three days, respectively. Moreover, Rotterdam is connected by rail with the German hinterland and Italy. Hamburg will be added as an additional hub port at the beginning of November.
Highly modern equipment rounds out the new PENN service. The two deployed ice-strengthened vessels (700 TEU) carry 45ft pallet wide high cube reefer containers which provide enhanced cargo security as well as increased cargo intake – best conditions for customers looking to ship perishable goods in the aforementioned regions.
Port rotation: Rotterdam – Immingham – Teesport – Grangemouth – Rotterdam – Oslo – Moss – Brevik – Rotterdam
