With a series of RoRo and RoPax projects lined up in the not so distant future, Danish naval architects OSK-ShipTech A/S are ramping up the naval architect and project management department with the addition of a naval architect with more than 18 years of design experience.
German naval architect Carsten Ortloff will join OSK-ShipTech February 1, 2018. He is a through and through ‘ferry man’, creating his very first ferry designs when he was only a boy. He holds a diploma in naval architecture, and since the start of his career in 2000, his main focus has been concept designs and the desire to always find the optimum design solution for the customer’s transportation task.
Carsten comes from Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft, where he has held the role of responsible naval architect for several RoRo projects and a large number of RoPax projects. Among others, he has been in charge of general arrangements, concept designs, etc. for owners like Smyril Line, BC Ferries, Irish Ferries and CMAL/Caledonian MacBrayne to name a few.
