Marlin Environmental Services Ltd. has announced completion of their Head Office move to new, larger premises near Chichester.

Located within the exclusive Chichester Marina complex, the new premises provide 2,500 sq/ft (230 sq/metres) of additional office space, warehousing & workshop volume for an expanding team, importantly adding a dedicated new South Coast location for a 14-seat training centre, allowing Marlins’ busy IOSH-licenced training team to increase provision of training & education for local marine business. Providing no fewer than 13 courses for managers, employees and operatives in: Fire; Confined Space; COSSH; Work at Height; Manual Handling; Environmental and other mandatory skills for H&S compliance and best practice. Marlins’ Trainers provide individuals, suppliers, contractors & installers with approved, bespoke and refresher training both on- and off-site.

Simon Evans, Marlin Marketing Manager: “Specific maritime training is well-established, but increasingly enquiries arise from recognition of commercial value of trained staff as well as long-understood health & safety gains in all marine sectors. The new premises allow Marlin to provide a dedicated & convivial location for our IOSH-accredited training away from our established Portsmouth Dockyard provisions and on-site provision for larger team requirements.”

However, what may be of greater interest to marine business in the region, the premises also provide a home for Marlins new ultrasonic cleaning service, due online early in 2015. A 4,000 litre cavitation cleaning tank will supply industrial & private customers with effective (and environment-friendly) component refurbishment, with a walk-in service for private and trade users alike. Commissioning soon, the 2.2 metre x 1.7 metre tank accepts large items up to 2 metres in length, or large quantities of smaller items and the largest `commercial` tank in the South.
