Ince & Co’s London-based commodities, shipping and commercial disputes specialist Stuart Shepherd has succeeded Steven Fox as the firm’s Global Head of Trade. After 33 years at the firm, which he joined as an articled clerk, Steven will be retiring from the partnership in April 2014.
London-based partner Will Marshall, takes on the role as Board member and Group Managing Partner for the Trade Group with immediate effect. He will provide management and leadership, and have responsibility for the coordination of the strategy, structure, activities and performance of the Firm’s international trade and commodities practice.
Stuart Shepherd has more than 30 years of experience with Ince & Co and is a key member of the firm's Trade Group. He specializes in commodities, shipping and commercial disputes. Legal industry commentators refer to Stuart as “‘outstanding, first-rate' and ‘a lateral thinker who sees to the heart of a dispute very quickly’, with a reputation for clear, succinct and swift advice and for his commercial approach.”
Will Marshall has 15 years of experience with Ince & Co and is a trade and energy industry specialist acting for a number of the world's largest trading houses and energy contractors. He provides commercial advice on the transportation, trade and production of oil, gas and other commodities. As well as litigating commodities, shipping and energy/natural resources disputes, Will also advises on the negotiation and drafting of a wide range of commercial documentation including commodities’ sale contracts, joint venture and profit sharing arrangements and derivatives products. He is recommended in Legal 500 UK 2013.
