California-based SD Model Makers announce the expansion of their made-to-order, museum quality, naval warship model offerings.

The company offers made-to-order, museum quality, replica models of any modern naval warship, including aircraft carriers, battleships, destroyers, patrol craft, submarines and more. From historical warships like the first United States Navy's aircraft carrier -- the USS Langley, or the infamous USS Arizona battleship, to modern seagoing warriors like the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers, SD Model Makers say they can replicate them all.

SD Model Makers founder and President, Captain Brad Poulos states: "Our Naval Warship models are only made-to-order, meaning that we do not stock any pre-made models. Only when a customer tells us the size and/or scale desired do we build the model. Each model comes fully assembled with a solid hull - hand carved from kiln-dried mahogany.

Other parts are made from a variety of woods, putty, resin and metals. Every model includes brass pedestals, a polished mahogany base board, and a brass name plate. As specified by the customer, each ship model is configured as appropriate to the vessel and service era desired. If it's an aircraft carrier model, all scale model aircraft and assorted
deck machines are included. Additional options include "weathering" or camouflage paint schemes, keel block mounting, ships seals and display cases.

SD Model Makers say they offer true museum quality naval warship models, invirtually ANY size or scale desired. Models build times are typically 12-16 weeks.
