Two new 120 foot Buddy Dive Boats are fitted with Ultrajet Waterjet Propulsion systems.

M.Y. Wolf Buddy and M.Y. Darwin Buddy, the newest and most spacious ‘live aboard’ dive-yachts in the archipelago of Galapagos, have been fitted with hp Caterpillar C-18 diesel engines rated at 1800 rpm coupled to twin UltraJet 575 waterjets.  The vessels were custom designed by Buddy Dive and Varadero Maridueña in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Built by Astilleros Maridueña, these 120ft (37 m) aluminium yachts have 4 decks and are equipped with cutting edge equipment and state of the art navigation and communication systems.  The suites on board are air conditioned, have private bathrooms and are equipped with the very latest in entertainment systems.  The excellent craftsmanship and furnishings ensure guests have an enjoyable and unforgettable holiday as well as plenty of memorable dives.

Diving in the Galapagos waters is not for beginner divers because of the strong currents, and to minimise risk UltraJet waterjet propulsion was chosen to ensure the complete safety of divers.  Steering and Reverse is with an Ultra JetMaster-Pro electrohydraulic control system.
