Containership Route Reshuffling

Monday, October 17, 2011

CMA CGM Group, MSC and CSAV are pleased to announce the reshuffling of their service linking Asia, Mexico, Central America and West Coast of South America.
Operated by CMA CGM and CSAV until then, this service (called ACSA for CMA CGM and ANDEX for CSAV) will now be joined in by MSC.
This service will still be operated on two distinct loops deploying respectively 11 x 8,500 TEUs  (1 CMA CGM, 2 CSAV, 8 MSC) and 10 x 6,500 TEUs containerships (3 CMA CGM, 7 CSAV)
The new rotation will be as follows:
- Sling 1:  Chiwan, Hong Kong, Ningbo, Shanghai, Pusan, Yokohama, Manzanillo, Balboa, Callao, Iquique, San Antonio, San Vicente, San Antonio, Callao Balboa, Manzanillo, Shanghai, Keelung and back to Chiwan.
- Sling 2: Xingang, Qingdao, Pusan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Pusan Manzanillo, Lazaro Cardenas, Balboa, Buenaventura, Lazao Cardenas, Manzanillo, Yokohama, Xingang
With this new configuration, CMA CGM, MSC and CSAV will be able to better adjust their tonnage to the low season of the trade while operating a high-performance fleet ensuring economies of scale.
The first sailing with this new configuration will be provided, on the first loop, by CMA CGM NABUCCO leaving Chiwan on October 18th, and for the second loop, by CSAV PUELO, sailing from Xingang on October 21.
