Change of Management at Yanmar

Having reached the age of retirement, Geert Jan Mantel will resign from his position as President of Yanmar Europe B.V. as per June 30, 2014, a position he has occupied since April 1, 2002. He will simultaneously step down as Managing Director of the Yanmar Co. LTD Board of Directors in Osaka, Japan. He has served as a member of the Board since June 2009.

Mantel will take the position as Corporate Advisor for the three newest 100% Yanmar owned subsidiaries in Europe, namely Yanmar Construction Equipment Europe S.A.S. of Saint-Dizier in France, Vetus B.V. of Schiedam in the Netherlands and Yanmar Rus L.L.C. of Moscow in Russia.

From July 1, 2014, he will serve as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Yanmar Europe B.V. Sodderland, a supervisory board member since October 1, 1989, will resign this year.

From July 1, 2014, Peter Aarsen will become President of Yanmar Europe B.V. Mr. Aarsen joined Yanmar Europe B.V. on January 1, 2007 and held several positions, including those of President of Yanmar Marine International and Vice President of Yanmar Europe B.V., which he holds now.

With his engineering background and experience in the automotive industry, Yanmar believes Aarsen perfectly fits the DNA of Yanmar, a highly technical company striving for high-quality products and services. Peter has graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering and added several Post Baccalaureate certificates in Business Administration & Management to his curriculum.
