BlueTide Communications (BlueTide) announced it has added Ku-band VSAT service to cover Australia extending north to Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.  This allows the company to serve broader maritime regions where global shipping and oil & gas companies operate.

With the need for connectivity growing due to crew usage, systems monitoring and automation, BlueTide’s VSAT plans are a natural fit with unlimited data and voice at a flat monthly fee.

In addition to standard VSAT communications, BlueTide provides a broad and complete suite of application and IT services to ensure efficient and effective connectivity, email, FTP and other managed services.

“As the shipping industry moves from L-band to VSAT to meet demand for onboard connectivity, you will continue to see BlueTide expanding its global footprint to provide maximum coverage to the maritime industry,” explains says BlueTide Communications Chief Executive Officer Emil Regard.

BlueTide’s VSAT packages deliver the reliability and coverage needed for operations to run smoothly with 24/7 support, a segmented crew network and service plan flexibility to match connectivity needs.
