The new Colchester head office of offshore wind services provider CWind Ltd was officially opened by Harwich and North Essex MP Bernard Jenkin on Friday last week.
CWind moved to its new offices in the landmark APEX 12 Business Park north of Colchester after outgrowing its previous premises in Westside, now occupying 6,800 sq ft of floor space in a modern, purpose built office building.
Bernard Jenkin said, “I was delighted to open CWind’s modern headquarters. CWind is a great company, providing an ever expanding range of services to the offshore wind industry and it’s great to see this Essex business doing so well. The company has seen explosive growth over the last few years, propelling it to rank 41 in the top 100 fastest growing companies in the UK. While much of the offshore wind related growth has passed Essex by, CWind has been able to participate in it, expand on it and is now taking that experience to Germany and the Netherlands, I hope the business goes from strength to strength.”
Sir Tim McClement KCB OBE, Chairman of the Board for CWind and hosting the event said, “We quickly outgrew our previous premises. Our new office provides an environment where people can work more productively and effectively. This winter will be a quiet period in the UK market but come 2016 things are set to change. We will be more than ready for it, an exciting time for CWind.”
Roger Raymond, Joint Managing Director at NEEB Holdings, commented, “We are pleased to welcome this significant international player as a tenant to our business park and look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with them.”
