ISS Appoints Phelps

Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS)  has announced the appointment of Matthew Phelps as Senior Vice President, Procurement and Operations Integration.


Reporting to Suren Thadani, Chief Operations Officer of Integration Services at ISS, Matthew will head up an experienced global team of experts in the fields of procurement and operations excellence and will be based in the UK head office.


Matthew has significant experience during a 30 year career in logistics and supply chain management across many sectors including oil & gas, retail, automotive, energy and the maritime industry. He has worked in various roles including managing P&Ls, procurement, operations excellence, business process mapping, transformational project implementation and control tower implementation/ management.


Matthew will manage the implementation of a number of strategic globally enabling initiatives and projects such as regional operations centres, shared services centres for procurement and continuous improvement initiatives across all business units within ISS.  Vendor management and compliance will be a key aspect of this role.
