EV Appoints Casavantes VP of Marketing

EV, specialist in downhole video technology, has announced the appointment of Federico Casavantes as vice president of marketing.

Bringing nearly 30 years’ experience to EV, Federico joins the management team with the purpose of developing and implementing the company’s growth strategy.

Francis Neill, chief executive of EV, said, “In this newly created role, Federico Casavantes will be supporting our entry into key geographical regions as well as working to define and introduce complementary technologies which increase the range of well diagnosis solutions currently on offer to our rapidly expanding customer base.”

Casavantes, originally from Mexico, began his career as a wireline logging field engineer with Schlumberger where he gained technical and operational experience through various global assignments.

During his time in the oil and gas industry, he has also held operations, product line, business development, marketing and commercial management roles within various companies, including Geolink (UK) Ltd., Sondex Wireline Ltd. and most recently, GE Oil & Gas, where he was global sales director for itsDownhole Technology division from 2010 – 14.

Eearlier this year, EV was awarded The Queen’s Awards for Business Enterprise, which is bestowed to U.K. businesses demonstrating outstanding achievement in the categories of innovation, international trade and sustainable developments.

The company splits its headquarters between Norwich and Aberdeen. With a global team of over 100 employees, EV operates in more than 25 countries through its network of 17 bases, supporting customers in multiple regions from the Alaska North Slope to New Zealand.
