Schmidt Ocean Institute Selects Adonis AS Personnel Manager to Automate HR and Payroll Processes for Flagship Research Vessel.

Adonis AS has announced that Schmidt Ocean Institute (SOI) has selected Adonis Personnel Manager (APM) to automate crew rotation and payroll for the R/V Falkor, a technologically advanced scientific platform that supports multidisciplinary oceanographic research and technology development. Adonis’ solution will integrate a shore-side hosted version of APM with the server aboard the R/V Falkor, assuring seamless synchronization of data and providing greater administrative flexibility. This is particularly critical as the R/V Falkor has no home port, is always in motion, with crews rotating from different locations.

SOI provides its collaborators with free access to the R/V Falkor and her on-board research facilities and expert technical support, in exchange for a commitment to openly share and communicate the outcomes of research collected on board. Previously, SOI used spreadsheets to enter and update crew profiles, records and rotations; in addition to automating HR and payroll, APM will be integrated with the R/V Falkor's ship management, inventory and procurement systems.

Adonis will be showcasing the latest version of Adonis Personnel Manager (APM) at the International WorkBoat Show and Conference in New Orleans, from December 3-5 (at booth #139).
