Xylem Acquires Tideland Signal

Tideland Signal Corporation has been acquired by Xylem Inc. (NSYE: XYL), a global water technology company. Tideland will now be part of the Xylem Analytics business which includes YSI, SonTek and Aanderaa.

Tideland’s recent focus has been on actively expanding its applications reach, emphasizing integrated control and monitoring aids to navigation solutions. The additional capabilities that result from the integration with Xylem will continue that trend, enabling us to serve a wider array of intelligent data acquisition and analysis applications.
Headquartered in Houston, Tideland is a producer of Aids to Marine Navigation, sold under the Tideland and IMT brands. 
Xylem’s analytics businesses are leading manufacturers of premium field, portable, laboratory and online analytical instruments used in water and wastewater, environmental, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and life science applications.
