Xodus Subsea has appointed a General Manager and Business Development Manager to drive activity in the Americas, as the company aims to challenge the largest tier one subsea engineering companies for a share of the market in the region.

Amedeo Marcotulli is the company’s new General Manager – Americas, and previously worked with Genesis where he was Subsea Business Unit Director for Asia Pacific. He will be based in Houston and will be responsible for all aspects of Xodus Subsea operations in North and South America.

With more than 28 years’ experience working within the subsea industry, he has substantial knowledge of subsea engineering, field development planning, engineering management, flow assurance and marine construction.

“Xodus Subsea is looking to establish itself as one of the leaders in the subsea market, and the Americas region is key in achieving that,” said Marcotulli. “We offer a wealth of technical subsea experience, joining front-end expertise with engineering, procurement and construction knowledge (EPC) to increase efficiency from the concept process through to construction.

“Using the combined talents of Xodus Group, Saipem and Chiyoda, our business offering gives clients more accurate and reliable scheduling and cost estimation, allowing them to make informed decisions at an early stage of their project, which is particularly crucial in response to the low barrel price.”

The company has also appointed Maria Ancheril as its new Business Development Manager - Americas. She will be responsible for developing key relationships to facilitate winning significant offshore engineering projects.

Also based in Houston, Ancheril joins Xodus Subsea from Wood Group Kenny where she was previously global business development manager following ten years with MCS Kenny. Ancheril is a committee member on a number of societies, including the Society for Underwater Technology, the Society for Women Engineers and the Exploring Program where she is Chair of the Oil and Gas committee.
