The 2015 NYK Report has been honored with an award for excellence in the environmental reporting category at the 19th Environmental Communication Awards, which are jointly sponsored by Japan’s Ministry of the Environment and the Global Environmental Forum, a non-profit organization based in Tokyo.

This is the fourth consecutive year that NYK has been recognized at these awards, following the company’s win of the Sustainability Report Grand Prize (the Environment Minister Award) in 2012, the President’s Award for Excellence in 2013, and an award for excellence in 2014.

This year’s report was highly evaluated for the following points:

- Clear indication by management of risks and important issues that can affect sustained growth

- Indication of the close relationship between the group’s finances and its ESG (environment, society, and governance) in the company’s corporate value enhancement process

- Brief and compact indication of the company’s environmental tasks through use of a map showing the relationship between the NYK Group and biodiversity

The NYK Group will continue to create reports that give stakeholders a better understanding of the company’s activities, while taking initiatives to approach social issues as a good corporate citizen and subsequently achieve a sustainable global society.
