Wallem Supports Polish Tall Ship’s Call to Hong Kong

Wallem Ship Agency was appointed to handle the recent call of the full-rigged Polish tall ship, the S.V. Dar Młodzieży to Hong Kong.

The tall ship arrived in Hong Kong on October 26, 2018 and was berthed at China Merchants Wharf until 29th October. This stop in Hong Kong marked an official one on the ship’s round the world journey which will see it visit 21 ports in 18 countries.

The Dar Młodzieży, a school sail training ship, was launched in 1981 at Gdansk shipyard in Poland. The ship is manned by a crew of 32, plus an additional 135 cadets, and is owned by the Gdynia Maritime University. Dar Młodzieży means “the gift of youth” and was the first Polish-built, ocean-going sailing vessel to circumnavigate the globe (1987–88).
