Trelleborg’s marine systems operation will host two exclusive one-day seminars on port infrastructure and innovation.

The free to attend seminars will be held on March 24 at the Mercure Hotel, Den Haag Leidschendam in Holland, and March 26 at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London, England.

The seminars will see the experts at Trelleborg and a number of guest speakers from across the industry discuss a range of industry issues, including the importance of rubber compound composition in the whole-life performance of fender systems. The seminars will provide valuable insight on marine fender design and selection best practice as well as the latest docking and mooring innovations to improve efficiency and optimize performance.

Richard Hepworth, President of Trelleborg’s marine operation, said, “Here at Trelleborg, we’re keen to connect with stakeholders to discuss where suppliers fall short and what more we can do to give them the support they need.

“The new series of seminars will allow us to develop a better understanding of the needs of consultants so we can evolve our offering to meet them. In addition, the seminars provide us with the opportunity to get to know where disparities may lie in the consultant to contractor timeline, and ensure that the high standards set out by the specifications are met.

“Ultimately, it’s vital that suppliers meet the needs of their clients by offering support in the areas that customers need it most, be that maintenance, training or other operational requirements across the entire product lifecycle. In our new series of seminars, we’re striving to ensure we do exactly that.”
