Wednesday, September 27, 2017
For the second year in a row, the Association of Bi-State Motor Carriers has named TRAC Intermodal the Best Overall Chassis Provider in the Port of New York-New Jersey for 2017.
TRAC said it has made significant investments in its Metro Pool fleet and network of chassis yard facilities that service the NY-NJ market. Over 30 percent of the more than 17,700 chassis operating in the Metro Pool have been refurbished to like-new condition with LED lights, new tires/rims, electrical systems, brakes, improved airing systems and other enhancements.
In presenting the award for quality to TRAC Intermodal, Jeffrey Bader, President of the Association of Bi-State Motor Carriers noted that, "As the third-largest port in North America, the Port of New York & New Jersey presents a number of challenges to those who do business here. Providing drivers with reliable, good quality equipment, while offering responsive customer service, is a key part of our port's ongoing growth and success.”
Bader continued, “For the second year in a row, the Association of Bi-State Motor Carriers is proud to recognize TRAC Intermodal as the Best Overall Chassis Provider in the Port of New York & New Jersey."
“We’re honored to receive this award for the second year in a row from the Association of Bi-State Motor Carriers,” said Keith Lovetro, President and Chief Executive Officer at TRAC Intermodal. “We are fully committed to providing our customers with easy access to high-quality equipment to meet their needs safely and reliably while improving overall port productivity.”
The Association of Bi-State Motor Carriers represents trucking and trucking-industry related companies doing business at the Port of Newark and is dedicated to serving the interests of its intermodal transportation members, especially at the Port of New York-New Jersey.
