Damen Shiprepair Brest contracted to dry-dock a high-quality trio of Scandinavian tankers, other work too in a busy yard.

After the successful execution of the contracts on the Bonny Gas Transport ‘LNG Sokoto’ and the LNG carrier ‘Lalla Fatma N’Soumer’, Damen Shiprepair Brest has contracted three new dry docking operations.

The Finnish Suezmax Tanker ‘Alfa Brittania’, the Norwegian Suezmax Tanker ‘Erviken’ and the Swedish VLCC ‘Stena Perros’ will docking early/mid November 2012. On top of this, the re-engining of the French Navy Support Vessel ‘MV Langevin’ as well as technical works on the ‘Bourbon Enterprise’ are contracted.

Jos Goris, Managing Director of Damen Shiprepair Brest, says: ‘It is very good news that the trust of the international shipping community in the capacities and capabilities of Damen Shiprepair Brest is rapidly increasing. Our highly motivated workforce and the continuous enforcement, throughout the ranks, on high quality under secure conditions, is highly appreciated by our customers. Having five vessels simultaneously on our docks 1,2 and 3, as well as alongside the quays also reflects our commitment to the maritime community in Brest’.
