Taimyr Disapprove Oil Terminal "Tanalau"

Association of Indigenous Peoples of Taimyr refused to sign the conclusion of the public hearings on the project and everything Payyahskogo Severopayyahskogo fields and the construction of the oil terminal "Tanalau."

"As a result of re-hearing Association based on its own observations and conclusions Greenpeace concluded that inappropriate construction of the oil terminal" Tanalau "on the Yenisei River. The main comments from the public have become concerns for environmental safety of construction and further operation of the terminal in the Far North, "- said in a statement the association.

Disadvantages of the project an environmental organization called unwillingness of the oil company for operation in ice conditions and worst-case scenario accident. Also, environmentalists pointed out that the material on environmental impact assessment has not been in the public domain.
