SNAME Graduate Scholarships Award Winners

SNAME announced the recipients of the Graduate Scholarships awarded for year 2015-16. The winners are:

Wilbur N. Landers Scholarship Award goes to Alyssa M. Bennett, 2015 Ocean Engineering graduate of Texas A&M University, to study at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor

William M. Kennedy Scholarship Award has been won by Michael T. Buelsing, 2010 Mechanical Engineering graduate of the University of San Diego, to study Ocean Engineering Systems Management and Business Administration at Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Recipient of Tommy L Richards Scholarship Award is Russell George Forthuber, 2009 Marine Engineering Systems graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, to study hull form and wave energy conversion at  Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Alan C. McClure Scholarship Award has been bestowed on James McNeill Landreth, 2008 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, to study design of  naval reactors for submarines at the University of South Carolina

John V. Wehausen Scholarship Award has gone to Rafael Alberto Valpacos de Lemos Leal, 2009 Mechanical, Production and  Mechanical Production Engineer graduate of Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio  de Janeiro to study ship hydrodynamics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of  Michigan, or University of California, Berkeley 

Frederick H. Todd Scholarship Award has been won by Kyle Stephen Tyson, 2014 Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering graduate of the University of New Orleans, to study ship hydrodynamics to develop hull forms and engage in model testing of new ship designs at the University of New Orleans and

The winner of the David A. O'Neil Scholastic Award is Anthony Donato Nigro, 1991 Marine Engineer graduate of S.U.N.Y. Maritime College,  to study in Master's of Marine Engineering program at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
