ShipConstructor Americas User Conference

Marine engineers, naval architects, draftsmen and design and engineering managers will join SSI and other industry leaders in the shipbuilding and offshore industries for a conference October 7-9, 2014 in Mobile, Alabama.

The conference will address the ways ShipConstructor, Autodesk applications and other enterprise tools can maximize productivity in a corporate process and CAD/CAM environment.

Information will be shared on a variety of topics such as:

  • Cutting edge technology: visualization, mobile, cloud, reality capture - laser scanning
  • Best practices in shipbuilding, design, engineering and production, management and reuse of digital information from design to production, collaboration within and between multiple organizations, distribution of work within and between multiple organizations and "sister ship" technology
  • Innovative new ShipConstructor features and benefits: new user experience to promote efficient workflow, 2D drawing creation from the 3D model, enhanced piping design and modeling capabilities, labeling improvements, and electrical design


SSI said it will send a formal invitation in July with more information and a link to a website containing registration information as well as an agenda and details on sponsorship opportunities.
