The SENER engineering and technology group has taken part in the SMM Hamburg maritime trade fair, one of the most prestigious international meetings in the sector, which is held every two years, on this occasion from September 5 to 9.

SENER, staying loyal to a tradition of over 20 years, attended with its own stand inside the Spanish Pavilion, in which it presented the stand-out features of the latest version of FORAN V80, the CAD/CAM/CAE system for the design and production of vessels. Improvements offered by the new version include the new approach for managing a series of ships, and also the capacity for offering truly efficient solutions for basic design, detail design and production, integrated and collaboratively, which come highly coveted within the industry.

On the other hand, from the point of view of ship design, SENER presented the project of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering vessel. The group’s innovative commitment was met with great interest by various ship owners, who approached SENER’s stand to personally pick up information about this project and projects pertaining to other vessels (ferries, tugboats, fishing vessels, etc.).

In this edition, SENER’s space at SMM Hamburg had an increased number of visitors, coming from various countries, interested in the latest version of FORAN and drawn to the project portfolio of ships with the company’s own design.

With over 60 years’ worth of experience in ship design and marine engineering, and more than 50 dedicated to the development of the FORAN system, SENER is one of the leading companies in offering high added value solutions to the shipbuilding industry.
