SeaTrepid International LLC announced that it is forming a new division thus expanding its service offerings to include Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) mapping operations.

“With SeaTrepid’s deep knowledge and expertise in robotic operations coupled with our deep talent pool, contacts and infrastructure, we are well-placed for an optimal and cost-effective alternative to current methods for deepsea mapping,” said SeaTrepid's CEO and founder, Bob Christ. “Our new methods are a paradigm shift from traditional one-vessel/one-AUV concept of operations delivering a substantial value proposition during this austere economic climate.”
The company has appointed Jake Klara and Jennifer White to head up this new business segment. “The experience and expertise these two professionals bring to us will allow us a high success quotient on this exciting twist to standard deepsea mapping,” Christ said.
Klara is the former Vice President of International Operations for C&C Technologies with over 35 years of domestic and international experience in survey and mapping, having provided innovative and advanced technological solutions in the survey industry. His knowledge of AUVs dates back to his participation in the development of the world’s first commercial viable AUV.
White brings more than seven years of sales and marketing experience from both the pharmaceutical and oil and gas industries, most recently with C-Innovation’s business development division.
