Schaffner EMC introduces new literature detailing the company’s ECOsin Active harmonic filters with Germanischer Lloyd approval.  This proven technology injects corrective current to immediately compensate harmonics, phase-shift and load-imbalance, making them ideal for use within the marine, offshore and oil & gas industries.   These industries increasingly rely on high power AC and DC drives to attain energy efficiency, lower costs of operation, reduced maintenance and lower emissions.  But these non-linear loads draw non-sinusoidal current from the grid, introducing harmful harmonics which create a host of problems – from nuisance issues to catastrophic problems.

This 4-page, full-color brochure details ECOsin Active Harmonic Filters which provide harmonic compensation in real-time, eliminating disturbances before they can cause problems.   Copies of the brochure are available by request or they can be downloaded at www.schaffnerusa.com/downloads.

Their PQ product line includes active and passive harmonic filters, along with sine wave filters, which allow the efficient and reliable operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
